Thru This Receiver

You are watching me live speaking on my reality,

And thru this prison receiver I am able to speak freely.

Not as a free man but as a prisoner, using his visiting time wisely.

And they say I was Young, Black, and Gifted, but wasn’t fit for society.

But it’s the same story for every Black me sitting behind me,

And life without parole is what they have giving me.

But the only thing they imprisoned was my anatomy.

I still control my mind it’s why I’m able to speak so consciously.

And THRU THIS RECEIVER I have been able to achieve the unthinkable.

Now I’m trying to do the same thing for my Black and Latino people.

Never letting them forget all that we’re enduring.

Slave trade, segregation and mass incarceration,

To achieve that which is already gestation.

And they want us to stand up and pledge Liberty and Justice For All.

But Liberty and Justice only applies to you.

So to all my Black and Latino people out there fighting for our cause,

THRU THIS PRISON RECEIVER, I’m going to stand up for Liberty and Justice for Y’all.
